Dr. Mike Clark

Mike, has been an ordained minister since 2004, and is co-founder of the Freien Christengemeinde Bregenz. Mike was born in the US state of Michigan, but grew up in Saarbrücken, Germany. While studying theology in the United States, Mike met his wife Laura. Later he earned a Ph.D. in Humanitarian Diplomacy from the University of Groningen in the Netherlands.

After their wedding in 2002, Mike und Laura first worked several years with James River Church in Springfield, Missouri, where they led the college ministry.  In the last 16 years, the Clarks have been involved in humanitarian aid and development work and served in over 70 wars and disasters.  They started a school feeding program that now provides over 250,000 children with access to warm meals and education.  In addition to his role as Pastor, Mike continues to work as subject matter expert and university lecturer in humanitarian diplomacy and disaster response.  Mike and Laura have one daughter, Ella, and live in Lindau near Lake Constance.

Mathias is a committed family man who with his wife Esther and their three children  pastors the Pfimi Church in Davos. His heart beats for the church, God’s kingdom and God’s presence! As a pastor, discipleship and heathy church development are particularly close to Mathias’ heart.

Mathias enjoys the following hobbies:

  • He is a big fan of Movies & thrillers always enjoying an exciting story.
  • He loves to cook and enjoys trying out new recipes.
  • Playing the piano is a wonderful way for him to relax and express his creativity.

In addition,  Mathias is active in the following areas:

  • Indoor playground (www.begegnung-panorama.ch): He is one of the co-initiators of an indoor playground where children can play carefree can play carefree and parents can exchange ideas.
  • Food project (save-our-food.ch): Mathias runs a food project in Davos that aims to save food from being thrown away.

Dr. Paul Clark
Paul and his wife Mechthild have planted churches in various parts of Germany and in 2016 co-founded the Freien Christengemeinde Bregenz. Paul initiated and administers a web platform which provides resources and inspiration for German speaking pastors and workers throughout Europe. Paul is author of the book: German Pentecostal Church Planting 1945–2005: Implications for Intentional Mission in the Twenty-First Century. Paul’s life message is to be an encourager to those who encourage others.
